For the summer of 2021, reaching the sea in Monopoli is much easier thanks to the new Monopoli Beach Link service granted by Trenitalia in collaboration with the transport company Ati Miccolis-Lentini.
From June 15th a shuttle bus connects the Monopoli station to the beaches of the coast up to Capitolo and the Acquapark Egnatia. Visitors who intend to reach Monopoli by train can purchase an integrated rail ticket which also includes bus transport (round trip) to the beaches of the Monopoli coast. The connection is guaranteed with modern, comfortable buses equipped with wi-fi. By purchasing a Trenitalia regional ticket to reach Monopoli you are entitled to a discount on the entrance ticket to Acquapark Egnatia. Tickets can be purchased on the Trenitalia website, at station ticket offices, authorized travel agencies, self-service, the Trenitalia App or by calling the Call Center.
The service is guaranteed for trains arriving and departing in Monopoli. There are 45 pairs of Bari-Fasano suburban trains and 20 pairs of Bari-Lecce regional trains.
The first service from the FS railway station to Acquapark Egnatia (which also stops at Lido Santo Stefano) departs at 06:45 with further services at 07:40, 08:20, 09:30, 10:00, 11:00, 11:50, 12:45, 13:40, 14:30, 15:40, 16:30, 16:55; 17:05, 18:15, 19:00, 20:15; 21:00, 22:15 and 23:00. The Sunday service is guaranteed at 06:45, 08:20, 10:00, 11:50, 17:05, 19:00, 21:00 and 23:00.
The first shift from the terminus of the Acquapark Egnatia is at 07:20. Service continues at 08:15, 09:00, 10:05, 10:35, 11:30, 12:25, 13:15, 14:15, 15:05, 16:15, 17:05, 17:30, 17.40, 18:45, 19:35, 20:45, 21:35, 22:45 and 23:35. Sunday service is operational from 05:00, 07:20, 09:00, 10:35, 12:25, 17:40, 19:35, 21:35 and 23:35.

The new service was unveiled in the presence of the Mayor of Monopoli, Angelo Annese, Alessandro Scisci, Managing Director of Mobility and Transport, Dr. Bruna Di Domenico, Puglia Regional Director of Trenitalia, Dr. Aurelia Maria Miccolis, General Manager of Miccolis company, and Angela and Giovanni Lentini of Lentini Autolinee. Given the importance of the initiative on the mobility front, Anna Maurodinoia the Regional Councillor of Transport and Sustainable Mobility also participated.
