“LA FORMA DEL COLORE” (THE SHAPE OF COLOUR) 

Personal exhibition of IGINIO IURILLI

A retrospective dedicated to sculpture with unpublished works and others never exhibited in Puglia: entitled “The Shape of Colour” the personal exhibition of Iginio Iurilli, curated by Lorenzo Canova, which will be set up in the Carlo V Castle in Monopoli from July 3rd to October 31st, 2021. An initiative of the Municipality of Monopoli (strongly supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism) organized by Valentina Iacovelli from Contempo with the collaboration of Galleria Cattedrale, sponsored by the Pino Pascali Museum Foundation.

The VERNISSAGE open to the public of “La forma del colore” by Iginio Iurilli, curated by Lorenzo Canova, is scheduled for Saturday July 3rd at 6.30 pm at the Carlo V Castle in Monopoli.

Speakers: Lorenzo Canova, Art Historian and art critic, Angelo Annese, Mayor of Monopoli, Rosanna Perricci, Councillor for Culture of Monopoli, Cristian Iaia, Councillor for Tourism of Monopoli, Pietro D’Amico, General Affairs and Local Development Manager City of Monopoli. Moderated by Carmelo Cipriani, Journalist and Art Historian.

A press preview is scheduled for Thursday, July 1st at 6.30pm.

Journalists will be accompanied by Iginio Iurilli himself to view the works and will be involved in the interactive installation that will be documented live by Director Alessandro Piva. At the end there will be a meeting and a toast with Angelo Annese, Mayor of Monopoli, Rosanna Perricci, Councillor for Culture of Monopoli, Cristian Iaia, Councillor for Tourism of Monopoli.
