A walk around Monopoli

The tour starts in Piazza Garibaldi and takes you on foot to visit the timeless monuments of the city, from the Cathedral Basilica of Maria della Madia, to the Carlo V castle, passing through the maze of medieval alleys of the old town and the iconic harbor that has made Monopoli famous throughout the world.

Rural Monopoli by bike

From the historical centre of Monopoli head by bike towards the countryside, to submerge in a rural landscape sculpted by ancient olive trees, dry stone walls and old farmhouses (masseria’s) and arrive in the heart of the countryside, to discover the ancient rock church of the Holy Spirit, guardian of numerous medieval frescoes, patronised since the 9th century.

We remind you that:

  • both escursions are always active on request, for individuals or groups
  • throughout the year the Infopoint organises free tours which you can participate in upon reservation;
  • there is a “guaranteed departure” for paid tours.
