THE COVES OF TORRE CINTOLA

The public beach “Torre Cintola”, which takes its name from the sixteenth century coastal watch tower that can be found here, is characterized by a number of inlets that are nestled in the high limestone rock, which is typical of the local landscape. These are small but highly captivating, artificially created sandy ravines, which were at one time used to extract blocks of ‘Tufa-a local soft rock’ which were then used for construction. Nearby there is both paid car parking and a large free car park.
